SIFE The Netherlands 2009-2010
SIFE has grown rapidly in the last years. From 4 teams to 13 teams in only 6 years. Last year, 2008-2009, was dedicated to be the “Year of Quality”, aiming to consolidate the rapid expansion. There has been a focus on team sustainability and we were very happy to see that we could start this September with 160 students during the Leadership weekend - ready to go!
This year, 2009 –2010, is the “Year of embedding SIFE”, with the goal to embed the consolidated growth of past years within:
- the educational institutions
- the SIFE NL partners
Through a strategy of quality driven growth, SIFE NL will mainly focus on the improvement and embedding of existing teams. Though, we have also targeted to extend our program with two new SIFE teams at Hogescholen in the coming year. To guide the process of expansion, SIFE The Netherlands has developed requirements to be fulfilled for new SIFE teams to start operations: Starting a new SIFE team
Together with all existing teams, SIFE aims to make a positive impact in today’s world through social entrepreneurship. The SIFE projects are central in our organization and we aim to continuously improve the quality of the projects. To meet the needs for specialized and interactive training and in order to guarantee the long term sustainability of support within the SIFE NL program, SIFE NL will develop internal capacity building through the start-up of the SIFE Academy. The SIFE Academy will be the SIFE “training centre” for SIFE teams in the Netherlands. Through a Train-the-Trainer process, this Academy will educate Alumni, Business Advisors, Faculty Advisors, Professional Trainers and Academics to become SIFE trainers, to deliver local and regional SIFE trainings for the teams.
